Chocolate Salami (No-Bake Dessert)
Ingredients
- 200 g (7 oz) plain biscuits / tea biscuits
- 100 g (3.5 oz) unsalted butter
- 100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (or chocolate powder)
- 1 egg
- Optional: 50 g (1/2 cup) chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds)
Instructions
- Break the biscuits into small pieces using your hands.
- Melt the butter gently and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix sugar and cocoa powder.
- Add the egg and stir until smooth.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
- Fold in the biscuit pieces and nuts if using.
- Place the mixture on parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Shape into a log (salami shape) and wrap tightly.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, until firm.
- Slice and serve.
Tip: Roll the finished salami in powdered sugar before slicing for a traditional look.
